Looking for a Few Middle School Science Teachers to Help with a Last Minute Research Project

I know school is almost over, but there is that last week or two in June when it's pretty quiet. Could you take the time to help us with a quick, e-book research project? We're using standards-based curriculum and it shouldn't take more than a class or two. The topic is also a really important one for students heading out for summer vacation. If interested please email me and I'll give you the details. Thanks so much.

Teachers interested in the Science of Alcohol

I am working on a project with AAAS for middle school parents, teachers and kids to explain the science of alcohol, as a way to convince kids not to drink young. Here is the link to our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Science-Inside-Alcohol/33451484521. Please become a fan and share any information or comments that you have. Thanks - Aimee

Hi Aimee - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.

We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.

You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim

Aimee - Good idea about MiddleWeb - those folks have been great - the Middle School Portal is one of their top 10 sites. I'll ask John to highlight the social network probably in the fall.

I'll need your NSDL user name to allow you to blog on ExpertVoices. Thanks, Kim
