How Many of You Know About the USA Science & Engineering Festival?

For two weeks in DC this fall, the USA Science & Engineering Festival will conduct massive outreach into middle and high schools with the goal of getting more students excited about careers in science and engineering. The Festival runs from October 10-24, 2010 and concludes with a two-day Expo on the National Mall with more than 750 interactive exhibits from more than 500 federal, corporate, non-profit and association organizations.

 

You can have a satellite festival at your school, or enter one of several contests to win prize money, including a Kavli Science Video Contest and a Build A Sustainable Dreamhouse one. For more information email me or go to www.usasciencefestival.org. We'd love to have you become part of this.

Aimee, NASA will be participating in this event and as I understanding it right now there will be many exhibits and interactive activities both along the National Mall and along a secion of Pennsylvania Ave that will be closed off at the Freedom Plaza.

Destination DC has become the travel partner for the event and there are 50 recognized sites around the country posted on the web site
