NASA's Expedition Earth and Beyond Teacher Training Webinar (January 17, 2012)

NASA's Expedition Earth and Beyond (EEAB) Program promotes student-led research investigations in the classroom using NASA data and resources.  It also provides opportunities to connect with NASA or University scientists. Throughout the year, the program is offering a number of free online teacher trainings, as well as classroom connection opportunities that will connect you and your students with scientists.  Below is an event being offered in January:

*       Teacher Training Webinar (Grades 4-12):  January 17, 6:30 - 7:45pm ET:  

This teacher training session will provide you with an overview and tutorial of the optional use of Wikispaces as you and your classes participate in Expedition Earth and Beyond.  The EEAB Wikis provide:   1) Useful information for students conducting research, 2) An area where teams can be mentored by a science expert, and 3) A place for teachers to ask questions and learn from one another. This session will cover the EEAB Student Wiki, EEAB Team Workspace Wiki and the EEAB Teacher Wiki.  Details on how to get your class set up and working with a mentor as they conduct a student-led investigation in your classroom will be provided.  For more information and to register, go to:
