Event Description
NASA Explorer Schools invites you to learn how to incorporate the excitement of rocket design into your classes. During this web seminar, you will be introduced to the engineering design challenge: Thermal Protection System. This activity uses student knowledge about heat transfer and the engineering design process to solve a problem. Students then design a thermal protection system and test it over a propane torch. The activity provides many opportunities for incorporating national mathematics, science, and technology learning standards into your curriculum.
